Art Students - The Ugliest Forklift In Town Needs A Paint Job (Hazel Park, MI) Reply to: gigs-955292119@craigslist.org [?] Date: 2008-12-12, 2:09PM EST Hey Art Students, Want to earn $200 over the Christmas break? Here is a fun(?) project. For five years we have owned 'Bessie' the city's ugliest forklift. Originally she was some color and then about 10 years ago someone painted her green. If you can imagine the process that goes into painting a forklift green you probably figured that they didn't do a very good job of it. You are right. Since then Bessie has suffered quite a few scrapes bumps and even rust, but she isn't going anywhere. Bessie is a tough customer and we are too cheap to get rid of her. We want 2009 to be a great year for Bessie so we have decided to commission her a new paint job. We have two days, $200, and a home depot card for the supplies to do it. Now we need a creative and fun art student to come to our warehouse and have at it. You will start the job on Tuesday December 30th and you will be able to return to finish it on Friday January 2nd. You could also come January 5-9th if you wanted. You can only work when we work, between 9AM-5PM. We'll probably even buy you lunch! Here is how to get the job: 1. Tell us where you are going to school and what you are studying. This is a school break type of job. If I wanted a starving artist type I would have given the job to one of my slacker friends. This deal is only open to real students on break. 2. Give us an idea of what concept you would use when painting Bessie. We are looking for something really creative, cool, and fun. There are no limits. Keep in mind that the first 1/2 day you will probably spend cleaning her off. Also, be ready for some nooks and crannies.
